Advertising: Snap It Swap It

We at Praxis added our creative twist to one of the biggest head-turners for Home Centre – one of the region’s leading retail concepts. What was briefed in as a furniture exchange campaign went out as a full fledged engaging sales campaign right from the word go! All people had to do to get their old furniture replaced was to take a snap of their rickety old stuff to their nearest Home Centre stores. From print to outdoor to digital, the campaign was a huge business success!

She was lying next to him while a droopy moon vied for attention. Her smell allured him to an extent that he would sniff her up before laying his hands on her. She was his new favorite. Voluptuous and traditional, he couldn’t have asked for more.

Bai-God it’s true!

In India, a house is not ‘home’ until there is a Bai rustling up her magic broom there. She’s the harbinger of cleanliness, convenience and sanity, a God-sent figure who fights the rogues called dirt, teaches messiness a lesson and brings order in disorder.

Photostory: The Mythobird

Once upon an old forgotten time there was a mythic bird that could change shapes to become a unicorn to gallop across water, become a dragon and spit fire, become a dinosaur and feed on animals. It would nest on cloud, dance on fire, swim into the seas, fly faster than wind and higher than heavens.

Being Social: Photo-story

They sat in solitude. Without any anxiety of what the ‘virtual’ world is up to. They cherished the occasional silence, which diverted their mind to listen to the crashing of waves. This was their idea of an ideal world. Where time stood still. Where setting of sun was an indication of time, not the watch. They detested the idea of social media.

When smells become sweet memories

The smell of iron or metals in a train brings back memories of long train journeys. And the smell in the air! How do I elaborate on the smell of autumn, of the onset of winters and the way everything starts becoming romantic, eventually becoming quixotic in winters.

Do the nutty stuff

Almonds. They remind me of an entire childhood ritual spent eating 5 peeled almonds daily in the morning that were soaked overnight. They remind me of my pet who I would pamper by feeding him 2-3 of them daily and he would gleefully chew on them as if they were made of rubber. Almonds also remind me of that Kashmiri vendor who would come to Delhi every winters to sell Cashmere shawls and bring me almonds
