Once upon a time, there used to be Chicken Tikka & Shish Tawook, in their barbequed glory. There was Butter Chicken with its creamy curry, Biryani with its saffron induced rice, and Pasta with its morsels of awesomeness. Then came along a Chef called Arpita Khatri who thought she would cage these culinary feasts in a bun and recreate their success story. And the experiment is bun-tastic!
The way these food items have been reimagined is worth complimenting. For instance, the bun called Talk To Me (best of the lot) had a filling of spinach, feta cheese, mozzarella & Italian herbs. The creativity is on the topping which had the Pizza sauce and olives. Who could have thought Pizza could be encased in a bun? Then there was Shish Tawook with a dusting of Cheetos and cream. Oman Chips also debuts here with a rich sprinkling on Honey Cheese Oman. The Biryani was the best item in their menu if you’re looking for a very big meal. The taste is very authentic, while cheese does a cameo. Different cuisines like Lebanese, Mexican, Indian, Italian etc. feature on their menu, albeit in a bun. Since they are freshly prepared, you can even ask for some customization like adding more spices.
For the sweet tooth, the bun again rises above its standard usage and features a toffee paste in centre, dollop of vanilla ice-cream on top with a sprinkling of lotus biscuits. A Lotus Biscuit comes along for doubling the bun-someness.
The décor is cute and Instagram-worthy, while the service stands out. The staff explains the concept and gives you their recommendation basis your taste & preference. There are board games should you decide to never leave this place!
